Master Halco Driveway & Pavers: The Orlando Owner’s Guide
If you have a Master Halco paver driveway or walkway in Orlando that’s sinking, cracking, or pulling apart at the edges, we can match the existing pavers and reset or replace the failed sections. A paver repair job in the Orlando market typically runs $700 to $3,500 depending on how many pavers failed, what’s going on underneath them, and whether we’re pulling and re-setting or starting fresh. Most Orlando paver failures show up the same way: a low spot where water pools, a paver that’s cracked through the middle, or a row that has wandered toward the flower bed. We’ve seen it in College Park bungalows and in newer HOA communities alike, and the fix almost always comes back to what’s under the paver, not the paver itself.

Quick version: Master Halco pavers themselves rarely fail on their own. What fails is the base underneath, and that’s where the repair money should go. We’re an independent Orlando remodeling company, not affiliated with Master Halco, but we work with their paver products regularly and know what to look for when a section starts moving.
Which Master Halco Models This Applies To

Master Halco makes a broad paver and hardscape line, and the compatibility question matters more than most homeowners expect. Their concrete pavers come in a few common profiles: the Holland stone (rectangular, 4×8 or 6×9 inches), the larger 12×12 slab paver, and a tumbled or antiqued paver meant to look like reclaimed brick. If you have a Master Halco driveway, the chances are you have the Holland stone because Orlando HOAs and driveway contractors have favored it for years.
The identification part is straightforward: flip a paver over and look at the sides. Master Halco pavers have a slight bevel on the top edge, and the concrete is a consistent gray throughout, not a colored surface coat that chips away. The bigger compatibility gotcha in Orlando is color batch. Master Halco pavers are tinted in production runs, and a run from three years ago will not match a run from last month. If you need a partial repair, plan on pulling pavers from a corner or edge and mixing them with new stock so the color shift is distributed. Aftermarket equivalents exist, but for a visible driveway, OEM or a close-matched local supplier is almost always the better call. A paver driveway is a visual centerpiece, and the wrong color match is a repair you’ll notice every single day.

Signs Your Master Halco Driveway & Pavers Is Failing
- One paver is cracked straight down the middle. A pavers that splits cleanly through the body usually means a point load was applied to an unsupported spot. In Orlando, this happens when a car backs a trailer wheel onto a paver that’s sitting over a small void, with no base support underneath.
- A low spot holds water after rain. Water pooling on pavers is the clearest sign the base below has compacted or washed out. If the water sits longer than an hour after the rain stops, the base is done in that area, and pulling the pavers to re-grade the base is the only real fix.
- Rows of pavers are drifting toward a crack or edge. Pavers stay put because of edge restraint. When a plastic or concrete edge is broken or pushed out, the whole field begins to drift. This is common along the bottom of an Orlando driveway where the curb meets the street.
- Sand is washing up between pavers after every rain. A small amount of joint sand loss is normal; a steady stream of sand after every storm means water is moving too fast through the joint and carrying the sand with it. Left alone, the pavers start rubbing against each other and chipping their edges.
- Weeds are pushing up between pavers in a straight line. Weeds in the joints are cosmetic and easy to handle. Weeds pushing up in a straight crack pattern usually mean a settlement line is forming underneath, and the roots are finding the gap in the base before you can see it from above.
Replacement Cost & What’s Included

A straight paver reset in Orlando, where we pull the failed section, re-compact the base, and re-lay the same pavers, typically runs $700 to $1,800 depending on square footage. If the base is shot and we need to dig it down, bring in new crushed concrete or limestone base, and re-set the whole field, expect $1,800 to $3,500 for a typical driveway corner or walkway section. A full paver driveway installation runs $7,000 to $18,000, which is the bigger number homeowners hear when the existing driveway is beyond patching.
Every quote we give is a written number before any work starts. You’ll know the cost of the pavers, the cost of the base material, and the labor, in writing. If we find something unexpected when we open the base up, we stop, show you what we found, and put the new number in writing before continuing. There’s no change order at the door. And the work carries our 365-Day Done Right Promise: if the repaired section settles or fails inside the guarantee period, we come back and fix it at no charge. That’s in writing, too.
DIY or Call Us?
Paver work is a strange beast. The pavers themselves are not dangerous to handle; a concrete paver weighs about 3 to 5 pounds and lifts cleanly. What catches DIYers in Orlando is the base. If you pull a dozen sunken pavers, throw down a bag of sand, and set them back, you’ve fixed the symptom for about six weeks. The sunken pavers are sunken because the base underneath compacted, and until that base is addressed, the problem comes right back. The other common DIY miss is the edge restraint. If the edge isn’t intact, the field will keep moving no matter how carefully you re-set the center.
What an owner can do safely is walk the driveway with a hose. Pour water on the low spots and watch where it goes. That tells you which sections drain and which don’t, and it’s useful information for us before we even come out. For everything else, give us a call at (850) 427-6454. We’ll come out, look at the base, and tell you what’s actually happening underneath those pavers. As Trevor Nash puts it, we’d rather give you the number first, then pick up the tool.
How long do Master Halco pavers last in Orlando?
Master Halco concrete pavers typically last 25 to 40 years in Orlando, but the base underneath them does not. Florida’s sandy soil and heavy summer rains mean the base layer is usually the first thing to need attention, often within 10 to 15 years of installation. The pavers on top might look fine while the base silently washes out beneath.

AfterCan a cracked paver be repaired, or does it need replacement?
Individual cracked pavers are almost always replaced, not repaired. Concrete pavers are not meant to be patched; once the structural body is cracked, the piece is done. The good news is that a single matching paver is inexpensive. The bigger question is why it cracked, and that’s what we look for before swapping a new one in. Call (850) 427-6454 and we’ll tell you straight whether it’s a one-piece swap or a symptom of a base issue.
How long does a paver repair job take in Orlando?
Most section repairs take one day, sometimes two if we’re digging out and rebuilding the base under a large area. A full paver driveway replacement is typically a three to five day job in Orlando, depending on size, access, and how much of the old base has to come out. We’ll give you the schedule in writing before we start, along with the price.
Do you stock Master Halco pavers and parts?
We keep the most common Orlando Master Halco Holland stone profiles and colors on hand or available through local supply houses within a day or two. We also work with Belgard and Unilock pavers, and we’re familiar with the same lines from KraftMaid, Cambria, and Silestone for interior remodel work. If we don’t have your exact color match on the truck, we’ll tell you before you spend a dime.
FAQs

The fastest check is the stamp on the underside or side of the paver. Master Halco stamps their name on most of their paver lines, though older or tumbled pavers may have the mark worn away. The next best check is size and edge profile. Bring a loose paver with you when you call or send us a photo, and we can usually identify it quickly. Call (850) 427-6454 for a free estimate on any paver repair, Master Halco or otherwise.
If the base condition is worse than expected, the price can change. But it changes in writing, with you looking at the same hole we’re looking at, before we do the additional work. No one likes a surprise on the invoice, and that includes us. The written number before the work starts is the number, unless we find something we couldn’t see from the surface, and then we show you first.
We handle the whole build: base removal, new base material, compaction, paver setting, edge restraint, and joint sand. For our Orlando clients, that matters because a paver driveway is only as good as the base we put under it, and we’re not willing to put our 365-Day Done Right Promise on top of someone else’s questionable base. If you want the pavers done right, we’d rather do the whole thing.
Give us a call at (850) 427-6454. We’ll talk through what you’re seeing on your driveway, give you a written number to fix it, and show up when we say we will. No pressure, no surprises, and a guarantee that’s written down before we touch the first paver.
