Caesarstone Bathroom Remodeling: The Orlando Owner’s Guide
Caesarstone bathroom remodeling in Orlando typically runs $9,000 – $28,000 installed, depending on how much of the bathroom is being rebuilt and which Caesarstone color you’ve chosen. We stock and install Caesarstone-compatible shower walls, tub surrounds, vanities, and countertop slabs across Orlando, and most full remodels take 2 – 4 weeks from demo to final walkthrough. The way people usually find us: their old tile surround has failed, water got behind it, and now they’re looking at a full tear-out before mold becomes a real problem.

Here’s the thing about Caesarstone in a bathroom. It’s a quartz surface, which means it’s non-porous. Water doesn’t soak into it the way it does with marble or granite. That makes it a smart choice for shower walls and wet areas, provided the substrate behind it (the moisture-resistant layer under the slab) is done right. When we tear out a failed bathroom in Orlando, especially in older neighborhoods like College Park or Conway, the failure is almost never the Caesarstone itself. It’s what the last contractor put behind it, or didn’t.
Which Caesarstone Models This Applies To

Caesarstone doesn’t make “bathroom kits” the way some manufacturers package vanities. What we work with is the full slab and tile line: 5110 Frosty Carrina, 6131 Calacatta Nuvo, 5141 White Attica, 5100 Vanilla Noir, and the rest of the Classic, Supernatural, and Outdoor collections. Bathroom applications use the same slabs, just cut to size and often polished to a lighter profile than kitchen counters.
The compatibility gotcha most Orlando homeowners miss: Caesarstone slabs are 56.5 inches by 120 inches, which means a standard 60-inch single-sink vanity top can’t be cut as one piece from a single slab width. You’ll either need a seam or you’ll use a pre-fabricated Caesarstone vanity top, which is a different product entirely. We carry both. OEM full slabs give you the longest continuous runs for shower walls and tub decks, but pre-fab vanity tops are often the better dollar call for a small bathroom. If you’re unsure which version you have, look for the Caesarstone serial number etched on the underside of the slab. The first two digits tell us the series, and we can match the color from the master palette we keep on hand. We also stock complementary Cambria and Silestone lines, along with KraftMaid cabinetry, if your remodel spans multiple materials.

Signs Your Caesarstone Bathroom Remodeling Is Failing
- Efflorescence at the slab joints. That white, chalky powder along the seam or where the Caesarstone meets the shower pan means water is wicking behind the surface. The quartz isn’t failing, but the sealant or waterproof substrate is. Left alone in Orlando’s humidity, this turns into mold inside the wall.
- Soft drywall under the slab. Press a thumb against the drywall just below your. If it gives, water has been running down behind the Caesarstone for weeks. This is the most common failure we find in older Orlando bathrooms where the last remodel skipped a proper waterproof membrane.
- Hairline cracks radiating from the drain or curb. Caesarstone is non-porous but it’s not flexible. If the shower pan underneath shifts even a fraction of an inch, the slab cracks. In Florida’s sandy soil, slab settlement is a real thing, and we see this regularly in Winter Park and Maitland homes built before the 1990s.
- Discoloration along the bottom edge. Quartz doesn’t stain, but trapped moisture behind it will grow mildew that shows through as a shadow. If you’re scrubbing the same dark line every week and it keeps coming back, water is trapped behind the slab.
- Loose or hollow-sounding sections. Tap the slab with a knuckle. A solid “thuck” is good. A hollow “tock” means the adhesive has failed and the slab is floating off the substrate. Left alone, a floating slab will flex and eventually crack at the seam.
One more pattern worth mentioning: Orlando’s hard water leaves mineral deposits faster than most places in the country. That’s not a failure, but it does mean any Caesarstone surface in this city needs a proper sealing at install and annual re-sealing after.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

The number we quote in Orlando is the number on the invoice. A full Caesarstone bathroom remodel, meaning demo to the studs, new waterproof substrate, new Caesarstone deck, new pan, new valve and fixtures, starts around $9,000 for a compact hall bath and lands between $15,000 – $28,000 for a master bath with a large walk-in shower, multi-slab runs, and custom niches.
What drives the price:
- Slab vs. pre-fab. Full slabs give you seamless runs and no seams to fail, but carry a materials premium. Pre-fab tops are the cost-effective choice for a guest bath or a vanity-only job.
- Demolition scope. If water damage extends into the framing or the subfloor, we’re dropping the price range to cover additional lumber and framing.
- The plumbing. Moving a drain or replacing a 1970s three-handle valve with a modern Moen or Kohler pressure-balanced setup adds $800 – $1,800 on average.
- Shower square footage. Caesarstone pricing scales with how many square feet the walls require. A 3×5 tub surround is 70-odd square feet. A 6×7 walk-in is 140. The slab cost nearly doubles.
Every Caesarstone bathroom remodel we do in Orlando includes the written Kingswell price up front, a 365-Day Done Right Promise on the work, and the warranty Caesarstone carries on the slab itself. If our work fails inside a year, we come back and fix it at no charge, no service call, no re-inspection fee.
DIY or Call Us?
If your Caesarstone slab is cracked, delaminated from the substrate, or the walls behind it are soft, that’s a call to Penhallow Remodeling Orlando. Quartz is heavy, rigid, and absolutely unforgiving if the substrate is wrong. You can’t grind a seam in your driveway and expect it to hold water out.
What you can safely do: check for the serial number on the underside of your slab so we can match the series, take photos of the water damage with a flashlight, and mark off the full footprint you want remodeled so we can price it honestly on the first visit. And if you’ve got water actively leaking, shut off the supply valves behind the toilet or at the main. Then call (850) 427-6454. We’ll send a background-checked, uniformed technician who’ll give you the number first, then pick up the tool.
FAQs

A properly installed Caesarstone bathroom with a correct waterproof substrate will last 20 – 30 years before you’d even consider touching it. The slab itself won’t be the thing that fails. The caulk lines, the grout in the shower pan, and the valve cartridges will all need service years before the quartz does. We’ve seen 25-year-old Caesarstone slabs on remodels where the surrounding tile and drywall were completely shot.
Small chips and edge imperfections can be filled and polished with a color-matched epoxy that’s invisible after curing. A hairline crack that runs the structural width of the slab, especially in a shower wall or tub deck that sees hydrostatic pressure, cannot be reliably repaired long-term. The material is strong but brittle, and the crack will telegraph through any patch. In those cases we replace the affected panel or the full wall. Give us a call at (850) 427-6454 and we’ll tell you honestly which one you’re looking at.
Most bathrooms we remodel in Orlando take 2 – 4 weeks from the first hammer swing to the final walkthrough. Caesarstone fabrication adds 3 – 5 days on the front end while the slabs are cut and polished to template, and waterproof membrane systems like Schluter Kerdi need a full day to cure between layers. If you’re doing a full custom shower with multiple slab panels and a slab bench, budget closer to 4 weeks.
We keep a selection of the most commonly chosen Orlando colors on hand, including 5110 Frosty Carrina and 6131 Calacatta Nuvo, and we source custom colors from a local fabrication partner with a 3 – 5 day turnaround. When you call for your free estimate, we’ll bring the full Caesarstone color palette with us so you can see the options side by side in your own bathroom lighting. Estimates are free, and the price we write down is the price you pay. Call (850) 427-6454 to schedule yours.
