Toto Kitchen Remodeling: The Orlando Owner’s Guide
A Toto-focused kitchen remodel in Orlando typically runs $14,000 – $45,000 installed, depending on whether you’re replacing a single fixture, reworking the sink run, or rebuilding the whole kitchen around it. We stock Toto-compatible kitchen faucets, pot fillers, sink systems, and the trim kits that pair with them, and in most cases we can have the common parts in hand the same day. The way most Orlando homeowners discover a failure is gradual: a slow drip under the cabinet, a pot filler that’s started weeping at the joint, or a finish that’s pitted and flaking after a few years of Orlando’s hard water.

We’re Penhallow Remodeling Orlando, an independent contractor and not affiliated with Toto. What we know about Toto kitchen components comes from pulling apart hundreds of them in College Park, Winter Park, Baldwin Park, and Dr. Phillips kitchens, usually because the previous fix didn’t hold. Trevor Nash and our crew have seen the same failure points enough times to know exactly what usually goes wrong and what it costs to put right.
Which Toto Models This Applies To

Toto’s kitchen line is split into two worlds: the mainstream pull-down and pull-out faucets like the Aurora, Legato, and Clayton collections, and the higher-end Shizen and Vector series with their slim-profile spouts and ceramic disc cartridges. The compatibility gotcha most people hit: Toto uses a proprietary cartridge body size on several Shizen models, which means a generic hardware-store cartridge from a different brand will slide partway in and jam, or seal poorly and leak behind the escutcheon plate.
Here’s how to identify what you have. Look under the sink at the supply line connections. OEM Toto lines are stamped with a four-character date code, and the cartridge housing will show either a 35mm ceramic disc cartridge (most Aurora and Legato models) or a 40mm high-flow cartridge (Shizen and older Neorest-adjacent kitchen fixtures). For pot fillers, the model number is stamped on the back flange, facing the wall, which no one notices until the fixture is loose. As for OEM versus aftermarket: for Toto cartridges and ceramic discs, we go OEM every time. The tolerances are tight, and the aftermarket copies have a habit of squealing after about six months. For supply lines and mounting hardware, a quality aftermarket equivalent works fine and we stock both.

Signs Your Toto Kitchen Remodeling Is Failing
- Constant slow drip at the spout tip. It’s usually the ceramic disc cartridge worn out or a tiny piece of mineral scale stuck between the discs. Orlando’s water is moderately hard, and scale is the enemy of any ceramic cartridge.
- Stiff or jerky handle movement. The cartridge’s silicone lubricant has washed out or hardened over time. You’ll feel resistance that wasn’t there when the faucet was new, and forcing it makes the scoring worse.
- Leak only under the cabinet, never at the sink. This is almost always a failed supply line connection or a cracked quick-connect fitting. Toto uses push-fit connectors on several kitchen faucet lines, and the o-ring inside those can degrade in five to seven years.
- Finish flaking or pitting on the spout and handles. For brushed nickel and chrome finishes, Orlando’s humidity plus cleaning products with bleach or acid accelerate the wear. Once the PVD coating is breached, it won’t come back.
- Water pressure dropping in the faucet only, not the rest of the kitchen. The aerator screen has accumulated scale, or the supply line screen is clogged. It’s the cheapest fix, but it mimics a cartridge failure if you don’t check it first.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included
For a Toto faucet or pot filler replacement in Orlando, the installed price usually lands between $450 and $1,600 depending on the fixture line and whether we’re also replacing the supply stops. A full Toto-focused kitchen remodel, where the sink run, faucet, pot filler, trim, and backsplash all get addressed, sits in that broader $14,000 – $45,000 range alongside cabinetry and countertop work.
What drives the number: whether the existing shutoff valves are serviceable or need replacing (common in Orlando homes built before 1990), whether the countertop has enough overhang for the new fixture’s base plate, and whether the Toto model you want has a proprietary rough-in depth. Every price we give is a written number before any work starts. Parts and labor are separate line items, and the labor number does not change once we’re in the wall unless you approve it first. The work carries our 365-Day Done Right Promise: if something we installed fails inside that year, we come back and fix it at no charge.

DIY or Call Us?
There are two safe checks any homeowner can do. First, unscrew the aerator tip and rinse the screen. Second, look under the sink with a flashlight and dry your hand, then run the faucet and feel around the connections for the source of any leak. That tells you whether it’s a supply line or the faucet body itself. After that, we’d tell you to stop. Toto’s ceramic cartridges sit under spring tension, and the retaining nut on a Shizen faucet requires a deep-wall socket that most homeowners don’t own. Cracking the nut or cross-threading the cartridge body turns a $500 repair into a $1,400 replacement.
If you’re dealing with a pot filler that’s leaking inside the wall, that’s a different category of trouble. Water behind drywall is never a weekend project. Call (850) 427-6454 and we’ll send a background-checked, uniformed technician to look at it, tell you the number, and only pick up a tool once you’ve seen the written price. Give you the number first, then pick up the tool.
FAQs

A Toto kitchen faucet installed in an Orlando home should last 10 to 15 years before the cartridge needs replacing, but the ceramic disc itself often goes 7 to 10 years under our hard water conditions. Supply lines and o-ring seals are the weak point and tend to fail around year 6 or 7. Call (850) 427-6454 and we’ll tell you whether yours is worth repairing or replacing, and what the written price looks like either way.
It depends on what failed. Scale is cleanable with a descaling soak, but if the ceramic discs are scored or the silicone seals have hardened, the cartridge is a replace-only part. We’ll open it up, show you what’s bad, and quote the replacement before any work starts. Estimates are free.
Most single-faucet replacements run 2 to 4 hours from arrival to clean up, assuming the shutoff valves cooperate. If the angle stops are corroded or the countertop needs modification, it becomes a half-day or full-day job. We’ll give you the window and the price in writing before we send a crew.
Yes, our Orlando trucks carry OEM Toto 35mm and 40mm ceramic cartridges, supply lines, aerators, and mounting hardware for the Aurora, Legato, Clayton, Shizen, and Vector kitchen lines. We put the common stuff on the truck because hunting down a cartridge mid-job wastes your money and our time. We also stock compatible kitchen remodel components from KraftMaid, Cambria, and Silestone, since a faucet swap often turns out to be part of a bigger kitchen refresh.
